This policy applies to every image published on this website — gallery, news, member events, and field visits. It is our commitment to the dignity and safety of the people we photograph.
Our Rules
- Informed consent before publishing: Any identifiable person in a photo must have given consent — announced verbal consent for group and event photos, written consent for portraits and photos of individuals.
- Absolute limits: We never publish identifiable images of survivors of gender-based violence; identifiable images of children without written guardian consent; or images that reveal the precise location of displaced or at-risk people.
- Dignity: We do not publish images that present people in degrading, vulnerable, or stereotyping situations, regardless of consent.
- Captions: We do not name individuals in captions unless they explicitly agreed to be named.
Withdrawing Consent
Anyone appearing in an image on this site may withdraw consent at any time by writing to info@placohm.co.mz. The image will be removed within 7 days, no questions asked.
