Members of the Mozambique Local Humanitarian Coordination Platform (MLHCP) are actively responding on the ground, supporting evacuations, early warnings, lifesaving assistance, and protection-focused actions in affected communities.
MLHCP is coordinating with the Government of Mozambique, led by the National Institute for Disaster Management (INGD), and aligning with the UN Resident Coordinator/Humanitarian Coordinator and UN OCHA to ensure a coordinated, inclusive, and locally led response.
