Strengthening Capacities for a Safer Humanitarian Response

On July 7th and 8th, in Pemba, Cabo Delgado, Girl Child Rights participated in the Training of Trainers (ToT) in Protection against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Survivor Assistance, promoted by the Cabo Delgado PSEA Network, in coordination with the MLHCP Local NGO Platform.

The initiative brought together representatives of local organizations with the aim of strengthening knowledge about prevention, mitigation, and response to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA), promoting the application of safeguarding principles, reporting mechanisms, and survivor-centered assistance.

Throughout the training, 28 participants strengthened their technical capacities through case studies, simulations, practical exercises, and experience sharing, preparing themselves to replicate this knowledge in their organizations and communities.

Investing in the training of trainers means strengthening institutions, promoting a culture of zero tolerance for sexual exploitation and abuse, and contributing to an increasingly safe, ethical, and responsible humanitarian response.

Initiative organized by the PSEA Network of Cabo Delgado in coordination with the Local NGO Platform (MLHCP).
